My client is a prominent manufacturer and supplier of flow cytometry products and services. As a fast-growing company, their goal is to provide comprehensive solutions for advanced cell analysis. They are currently looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to lead their flow cytometry reagent department, which develops and supplies reagents to the global market for research and clinical applications. The main responsibilities of this role include new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing, quality control, and overall operations. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in flow cytometry reagent or other immune assay reagent manufacturing operations.
 
Job Description Summary 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct conjugation with different antibodies, small molecule dyes, tandem dyes, and other fluorescent fluorophores following the procedure developed in R&D.
  • Perform routine analysis, purification and characterization of dyes and reagents using chromatographic spectrophotometer, HPLC, FPLC, and fluorometer.
  • Identify problems in the current procedures that may impact successfully making cFluor reagents. Provide mitigating plan to solve these problems.
  • Train junior scientists for antibody conjugation and all instrument operation.
  • Work independently and having enthusiasm to learn new skills.
  • Maintain good and timely documentation of experiments and follow ISO13458.
  • All other tasks and duties assigned as perceived and agreed upon by management.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • PhD or MS degree in Chemistry or Life sciences.
  • More than 5 years (Ph.D) or 10 years (MS) of experience working in antibody and fluorescent dye conjugation in industrial settings.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in conjugation with all types of fluorophores, including small molecule dyes, tandem dyes, and other polymer/nanoparticle dyes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team of scientists.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as a team leader.
