The Role:

In your new role, you will
  • Assist Deputy Head of the department in providing legal advice and support to the global banking business in the area of real assets/real estate finance, covering commercial properties, residential properties, data centres, logistics and warehouses, etc., across the APAC regions
  • Prepare, review and negotiate legal and financial documents, including financing grids, confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, mandates, facilities agreements, security documents as well as other commercial materials and transactional agreements
  • Assess and monitor the impact arising from legislative changes; provide pragmatic solutions to the bank
  • Ensure that legal risks are proactively identified and mitigated
  • Maintain sound relationships with various stakeholders such as the clients, external lawyers, internal compliance and risk functions, operations teams, and project managers
  • Participate in cross-border legal projects as assigned


Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with 5+ years of post-qualification experience gained from international law firms
  • Strong legal experience in asset financing, preferably with knowledge of complex real estate finance products
  • Understanding of other loans/debt products such as capital call facilities, securitisation and project finance 
  • Agile, detail-minded, able to work at a fast pace
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
