Join a leading financial institution where your expertise will help shape the future of finance. My client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their Group Financial Control team and play a pivotal role in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting to Executive Management.

The Opportunity
This role is central to the Bank’s financial control function, ensuring high-quality monthly and annual financial accounting for the Group and its subsidiaries. In addition to driving day-to-day finance operations, you’ll provide leadership and mentoring to Financial Accountants while supporting Group Finance Managers in meeting management and statutory reporting deadlines.

As the team continues its Finance Transformation journey, you’ll work closely with the Group Financial Control Manager to streamline and standardise processes, enhance controls, and help shape the future-state operating model.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead monthly and annual financial reporting for the Group and subsidiaries.
  • Support and mentor Group Financial Accountants to foster a high-performing team culture.
  • Assist in delivering statutory and management reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior finance leaders to implement improved systems and reporting controls.
  • Contribute to the ongoing Finance Transformation by helping standardise financial control processes.
  • Ensure alignment with risk and control frameworks across the finance function.
About You
You’re a collaborative, detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes. You thrive in fast-paced environments, have a proactive approach to problem-solving, and are confident communicating technical information clearly and effectively.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce (Accounting).
  • CPA, CA, or international accounting qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience (upto Manager / Senior Manager level) gained in a Big 4 Chartered Accounting firm. (1st movers strongly considered)
  • Strong experience as a Financial Accountant, ideally within the banking or broader financial services industry.
  • Sound knowledge of financial and management reporting.
  • Familiarity with control and risk frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and experience with the implementation of new standards.
