Senior Financial Accountant

This leading global financial institution is seeking a high calibre individual to take ownership for the delivery of the internal and external reporting for the Australian operations and it's associated entities as well as partnering with the business to provide meaningful financial analysis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and consolidation of statutory reports for the group 

• Consolidation of financial reporting schedules as per the Head Office requirements 

• Interpretation of AIFRS and development of accounting policies for the group 

• Consult and develop technical papers in respect of new business initiatives 

• Drive process and system change on an ad-hoc basis   

• Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework

• Coaching and development of junior team members

You will be CA / CPA qualified with a minimum of 6 years experience gained in either the Financial Services or Commercial sector.  Proven technical accounting skills and experience with the preparation of statutory accounts and financial accounting in a medium to large ASX listed organisation are key requirements for this role. 

In addition to hands-on financial accounting experience, my client will also consider individuals keen to explore their 1st commercial role outside of a Big 4 / 2nd Tier CA firm.

The ability to work effectively in a results driven environment coupled with a flair for identifying weaknesses and driving process change and automation will ensure your success in this role.
