My client is a leading Australian based financial services group offering a broad range of tailored financial products and services to clients across the institutional, corporate and retail sectors.  The company promotes a collaborative and inclusive environment with it's success being built on a robust meritocratic culture.

You will work as part of a high performing Group Finance team responsible for the delivery of statutory financial reporting, board reporting, external reporting and accounting advisory services.  In additional you will help drive key initiatives focused on improvements to the half year and year end reporting processes.

This role will offer you fantastic exposure to the business and key responsibilities will include:
  • Responsible for managing the month-end, half-year and year-end process for the group entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reports are delivered;
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the business where required;
  • Prepare statutory reporting and ensure accurate and timely financial reports (for internal and external use) are produced in accordance with the relevant accounting standards;
  • Help drive key finance process improvement initiatives at a group level;
The successful candidate will be confident, articulate and demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Your background and experience will include:
  • CA qualified with ideally between 5 - 8 years experience
  • Previous or current exprience gained in Big 4 or 2nd tier Chartered Accounting firm
  • Hands on financial reporting and/or accounting advice experience gained in a large ASX listed group (Financial Services industry preferred but not a must have)
  • Strong understanding and practical application of IFRS Accounting Standards
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding time management skills are a must
