We are partnering with a global insurance business who are rapidly expanding their Technology team in Kuala Lumpur.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and improve IT infrastructure for quicker releases to market
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure
  • Automate development and release processes
  • Drive performance testing and benchmarking with QA teams
  • Optimize release cycles and suggest process evolutions
  • Monitor time to market and time to minimize, document and share with stakeholders
  • Ensure security is prioritized in all DevOps processes


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer in a scalable production environment (preferably AWS)
  • 5+ years of programming and infrastructure development experience
  • Experience with AWS cloud technologies, API and microservices development, scripting, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), MongoDB, Postgres, Grafana, Terraform
  • Solid knowledge of Agile and DevOps development processes and software development lifecycle
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Jenkins, Git, and repository hosting
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in both waterfall and Agile setups
  • Strong conceptualization, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Advanced ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and liaise with individuals from various functions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • AWS or Agile/DevOps certifications
  • Experience in serverless application development, monitoring, feature toggling, A/B testing, performance testing, chaos engineering, blue/green or canary deployments
