This is a newly created position due to accelerated growth across the business. The company sits within the entertainment sector and is incredibly stable (backed by a well-known venture capitalist).
 
Responsibilities:
Approximately 10 internal audits (1 of 2 Audit Managers in Sydney) the audits are to be delivered annually in Sydney consisting of group functions, payroll,  security and surveillance, property services, 3rd party vendors, understand basic ITGC, application reviews and user access management - this list is non exhaustive. 
Some audits  – AML, Cyber, Food safety are outsourced to external auditors.
Managing a team of 4 - guide, develop, coach.
50% Internal Audit – (this is in the operational sense), development / owning delivery of the audit plan / ensuring timely delivery in budget and in line with KPIs / preparing accurate and clear reports providing meaningful insight / liaise with management regarding audit findings and actions that address root causes.
Stakeholder engagement - management conflicting priorities, provide advice and recommendations, collaborate with first and second line.
Special projects – bring ideas and actively contribute to the internal audit strategy.
Training and coaching, compliance, health and safety.
 
Profile:
Completion of CA, CPA, CIA / 5-7 years' experience within the Internal Audit space, happy to consider candidates who may have started their careers in consultancy but must have 4-5 years' recent experience in the commercial space. 
Experience of working in a heavily regulated environment is essential.
Previously managed a team of 2 or more - solid leader with an ability to manage effectively and confidently. 
Excellent communication skills (written + verbal), practical, positive, and passionate.
