Job Description:

We’re looking for a Technical Product Manager (SAP) who will take a key role in our client's team:

  • This role is for a Technical Product Manager to oversee architectural and infrastructure aspects for the client's SAP environment
  • The broader SAP team work across numerous business functions to implement and modernise the processes
  • While the detailed roadmap is sensitive, the client is looking at a broad spectrum of technology modernisation (moving to HANA, improving data processing/integration, providing API services etc.)
  • The overall product process is driven by the application team that own SAP and the business functions it supports - this role is more technical focused and will work closely/across wider application team, BASIS team, architecture and infrastructure teams
  • The successful candidate will likely have fairly extensive and broad SAP experience including infrastructure and design. They may have been involved in large operations and/or complex migrations/upgrades
  • Candidate must have SAP experience and ability to provide technical leadership for complex projects
  • Set the technology roadmap and standards for our SAP platform and applications
  • Responsible for setting and maintaining operational procedures, processes and controls and working with SAP Basis support
  • Responsible for security, configuration, patching, review of SAP GRC SOD/SAT rules and violations and working with security/audit teams (both internal and external)


  • University degree in an IT related discipline
  • More than five years of experience working with SAP BASIS in multiple roles, such as team lead or manager
  • Good general IT knowledge covering servers, storage, networks, browsers, printers, basic UNIX admin tasks, basic Windows OS admin tasks, etc
  • Ability to manage vendors, project teams and users to ensure standards & timely delivery
  • Ability to engage and lead multiple support teams to resolve incidents or issues
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to resolve conflicts
