Our client is specialised e-platform provider of digital foreign exchange (FX) and global payments, with offices in APAC and North America with longstanding reputation. They are now looking for an experienced and commercially astute General Manager to lead and drive all business relationships including partnership channels, and to manage a team of sales associates in Australia.
 

Role Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, supervise, and lead the team on developing FX and digital payments business and maintaining strong relationships with key partners.
  • Define partnership strategies with financial institutions, card networks, and other financial technology partners.
  • Collaborate with Payments and Product team to define and implement partnership strategies in the APAC region.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, Marketing, Finance and other teams to launch and manage new and existing partners and partnership programs.
  • Actively attend industry events to establish relationships with key counterparts, especially the Asian communities.
  • Strategically co-lead and motivate relevant teams to drive the business growth and achieve set KPI’s.
  • Present strategy planning and report business performance to senior management every 6/12 months.

Skill Requirements:
  • Business Manager with minimum 10 years of experience in the FX, Global Payments / Remittance industry with a successful track record in Sydney or Melbourne.
  • Demonstrated capability in business planning, strategic partnering, networking and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with partners (including banks, FinTechs, business associations, industry forums etc.)
  • Team management experience is desirable.
  • Speaking and written proficiency in English & Mandarin Chinese.
