EBC Europe: Director - London

As the Director of the EBC London Office, you will be in an exceptional role unlike elsewhere:

directorship within the EBC family is to hold a truly executive and impactful position.

This position is an integral and commanding function in relation to our growth plans for EMEA and you will hold considerable responsibility to resonate and evolve EBCs DNA, ways of working and deliver both personal, team and company-wide exceptional performance.

 To bring to life some of your main deliverables of the role:



In this role you will need to both understand and utilise effectively the unique EBC DNA, support structures and ways of working as well as blending your own experience and ideas. Take the opportunity to plunge yourself into things like our AI technology, state-of-the-art cloud-based CRM platform and engaging heavily with our cutting-edge talent engagement, marketing, data analysis and research functions.


Plan and Focus

Alongside senior management support, using the above design a strategic business plan. As apioneering role, key themes here will include ability to scale in a robust way, how to acquire toptalent, client strategy, effective revenue and profit growth and tie in to wider EBC Europe strategy.


Leverage Entrepreneurial Ideas and Passions

Use your own deep knowledge of the local market and opportunity at hand to implement ideas and create impactful confluence with existing EBC platform - create an exceptional platform but one which is befitting the local London market and the opportunities which exist. This will include for example driving our first physical office space in London and role design of new hires.


Build an Exceptional Team

Here at EBC we don’t look for managers, we look for inspiring leaders. This role will include scaling the EBC London team, embedding tactical desk structure, conducting well organised business development and evolution of the teams supporting structures like marketing, technology and research assistance.


Know, and Love, Your Clients

Leaders at EBC lead from the front in both business generation and revenue performance. Hold client development and account management duties for key clients as well as micro level personal business development where necessary. Mentor your team to maintain, create and develop client relationships, as well as be able to ‘go to market’ with innovative solutions – will you design a more contracting focused business? One which pivots on retained and researched work?



Oversee operations day-to-day as well as build a business, represented in all things, that can deliver consistent and sustainable high performance. This will include but not limited to, looking at mid-level management layers in the mid-term, designing effective retention strategies, supporting and developing your team so they don’t want to leave and importantly sticking to your plan!

Own the vision. At agreed intervals, be able to show strong evidence and proof of current and continued success. Not just represented by strong revenue but by profit, consistency, use of progressive ways of working, staff happiness and wellbeing, strength of hired employees and in many ways above all … satisfied clients and candidates!


Personal Aspirations, Experience and Qualifications

  • Have at least 9-12 years of experience operating in similar senior and high impact roles.

  • Have advanced leadership ability and the gravitas that goes with it, demonstrable through things like an ability to attract and retain top talent.

  • Be able to express advanced fee generation abilities within a particular market(s).

  • Speak fluidly and passionately about the world of recruitment, headhunting and most importantly, the key nuances, opportunities and current-day levers and opportunities therein.

  • Show the stickiness and commitment to BUILD and be part of a journey. This is not an in-andout role but rather more one which we hope to be an eventual cross Europe role.

  • Share our philosophy that speaks to your entrepreneurial mindset. Personality traits such as high passion for market expertise, outstanding work ethics, collaborative nature and exceptional execution are also a must. EBC endeavours to always perform at the highest levels whilst being agile and mature enough to operate differently.
