Our client is a global bank is now setting up their office in Singapore and urgently need a desktop engineer to set up the site together with the global team. After setting up the site this person will potentially responsible for Singapore IT operation.
 
Primary Purpose:
  • Responsible for the setting up the site project
  • Provide end user technology support as well as the regional system infrastructure support.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide end user technology support to the trading floor, local office users as well as the regional users
  • Manage and support the end user technology equipment such as desktop/notebook, printers, copiers, monitors, patching, phone, mobile, blackberry, etc..
  • Manage and support the system infrastructure equipment such as servers, telecommunication equipment, hard disk, backup, Voice, Turret, etc..
  • Provide remote hand support on the network and security infrastructure equipment such as routers, switches, proxy, riverbed, etc.
  • Provide administration and support on servers, AVAMAR, Citrix, VMWare, Active Directory, VOICE, FAX, BB and GOOD.
  • Provide application support on business related applications
  • Provide operational assistance on the local comms room activities
  • Maintain the infrastructure records are up-to-date
  • Provide market data system support to the traders
  • Provide BCP support to the business
Requirements:
  • Degree or Advance Diploma in IT, Computing, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 5-6 years’ relevant experience in supporting the users and system infrastructure systems especially trade floor and mission critical systems
  • Knowledge and experience in supporting servers, citrix, AD and backup systems as well as the banking/trading systems and market data systems
  • Basic knowledge of network, local and wide area network, security systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills and oversee each problem until resolution
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Fluent in English
