Our Banking Client has an exciting opportunity in their Institutional Credit Group (Line 2) focused on a portfolio of Bank and Non-Bank exposures and Structured Finance transactions reporting to the Chief Credit Officer. The role is primarily responsible for credit risk approval and management of a portfolio of Bank and Non-Bank exposures and Structured Finance transactions. You will benefit from exposure to a global business constantly adapting to regulatory change and emerging risks, providing a very exciting and dynamic work environment.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate prudent and clear judgment in the assessment and management of the credit risks within the business, including the early recognition of problem loans and implementation of remediation plans.
  • Review and challenge credit proposals submitted by the business with credit knowledge and expertise knowing the clients, negotiate terms with the business. 
  • Contribute to the strategic positioning of the Bank to ensure that credit strategies and policies are appropriately aligned with business units’ objectives.
  • Work closely with the business to optimise risk utilisation to maximise the return to the bank from the defined / available risk appetite.
  • Contribute to the development of a sound credit culture within the business through active knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in the management of Credit Risk arising from Treasury and Financial Markets activity.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement policy to build the brand leadership in the market.
The Requirements:
  • 8+ years of credit related experience (corporate / institutional)
  • Strong skills in credit analysis of the Financial Institutions and Structured Finance (Securitisation) sectors.
  • Previous delegated authority to approve credit risk is considered highly desirable.
  • A demonstrated ability to act independently, think informatively, solve problems, and exhibit a growth mindset while managing risk in a consistent and disciplined manner.
  • Superior communication skills are essential to success, as well as excellent negotiating and influencing skills.
