Responsibilities would include:
  • Work with business leaders to develop inorganic growth strategies and generate M&A pipeline
  • Research potential companies, markets and expertise areas that may be enhanced through acquisitions
  • Evaluate acquisition targets for strategic, financial and commercial fit to ascertain their suitability and appropriate prioritisation
  • Arrange and conduct meetings with target organisation
  • Develop complex valuation models and prepare complete valuation analyses incorporating DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, alternative valuation methods, financial impact and EVA impact analyses
  • Suggest strategies and/or structures that will provide competitive advantage in the bidding/pricing process and achievable synergies
  • Manage the acquisition due diligence process, including coordination with internal team and external advisers
  • Develop investment proposal, Board paper/presentation and other documentation for internal approvals
  • Develop and support negotiating positions and/or options


Profile of Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Years of experience: min 3-6 corporate finance/M&A experience in an investment bank, major corporate, or big “4” accounting firm
  • Adaptable, tenacious, self starter and self reliant
  • Ability to quickly and clearly understand the Group’s product/service capabilities and correlate to potential global opportunities
  • Collaborative working style, focused on achievements
  • Preferred strong experience in managing M&A deal process or corporate development
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience of gathering, synthesising and utilising competitor/industry market knowledge
  • Significant financial modelling and investment appraisal experience
