An opportunity has arisen with a leading independent broker to join as a Claims Manager. In the role, you will be responsible for leading on all claims across general lines of insurance.
The role would suit individuals who are looking to develop their career within a fast growing broker and who are committed and enthuastic about leading and managing the claims portfolio for the business.
Key responsibilities:
  • Review and analyse insurance claims regularly and advise the claimants accordingly.  
  • Ensure all claims enquiries are well managed for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervise and manage a team of claims executives to ensure they handle the claims efficiently.
  • Monitor and review the quality and accuracy of work handled by the team and take corrective action as required. 
  • Preparation of management and claims reports.   
  • Review and improve the claims processes and systems enhancements.
  • Ensure all claims appeals from clients are handled promptly, efficiently and professionally.
  • Servicing existing clients on claims matter together with insurance broking teams.
  • Management of quality of claims servicing by the team.
  • Follow up and liaise with insurers, adjusters and clients on outstanding claims documents and information.
  • At least 5 years of overall experience within general insurance claims – preferably within a broker  
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to manage a team
  • Self-motivated with the ability to identify key issues and recommend practical solution
