This is an opportunity for an experienced Business Continuity professional to be the SME for this area within one of the most recognised regulatory bodies in Australia. You will take over an already established function with the view of owning and driving improvements going forward.

The position will be standalone - you will sit within the Risk team however you will not have a team of BCP professionals to draw upon - this role will suit someone who can work autonomously and likes to manage their own time and workload - no one will be telling you what to do or micromanaging you but you will solely be responsible for your own delivery.

Role Responsibilities
  • Continuing to maintain a high level of Business Continuity framework design and operation.
  • Managing and coordinating regular reviews and updates of the BCP across a diverse group of divisions
  • Identifying and communicating improvement opportunities within the BCP
  • Coordinating and communicating with external agencies and vendors who are identified as key resources or stakeholders in the BCP.
  • Educating all staff in relation to the BCP Planning and executing regular BCP tests requiring the involvement of senior executives and external parties.
  • Improving the BCP on an ongoing basis .
  • Ensuring that the framework is modern and aligned to best practice
Role Requirements
  • 5 years + specialist knowledge of contemporary Business Continuity Planning practices and processes.
  • Substantial skills and proven capacity to manage the development and implementation of BCP frameworks.
  • Written and verbal communication skills for advising internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
  • Leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving skills, including the ability to select or propose practical, innovative solutions.
  • Understanding of technology trends and how they can be leveraged in support of BCP activities and functions.
