AVP/VP Commodity Finance Research, Credit & Analytics with

Open to candidates from commodity finance middle/ back office in analysis/ research/ credit/ lending mid office/ trade ops who is keen to move up frontline

Responsibilities would include:

Interact and work closely with the research & analysis teams globally to be the first line of defense in risk co-managing relationships, including regular dialogues with the Credit Research Department (CRSD) in Singapore to harmonize the risk and credit matrix across sectors, countries and commodities
Propose internal Credit / Risk approach and benchmarking on segments and clients
Accompany RMs and product managers on client visits, business calls, business presentations, share insights and research
Build and maintain STCF relationships
Build credible and trusting relationships with Credit Department-Asia Pacific, including actively participating in both formal and informal dialogues with the working teams before deals are formally presented for approvals, including quarterly / annual review of accounts & facilities
Monitor regulatory capital for proposed deals and audit existing deals
Co-work with KYC, Compliance and Planning teams for commodity clients

Profile of Ideal Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
Strong understanding of Commodity trade finance / Structured trade space (Preferably someone from mid or back office in analysis/ research/ credit/ lending mid office/ trade ops who is keen to move up frontline would be ideal)
Minimum 5-10years of relevant working experience in an established financial institution preferably
Strong work ethics and excellent attitude
Articulate and confident, comfortable enough to meet clients with RMs
Analytical and numerate with basic accounting and finance knowledge
Strong interpersonal skills
