This is a high-visibility role sitting at the intersection of business strategy, governance and risk, with regular engagement across APAC stakeholders and head office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted partner to the Country Manager on branch governance, regulatory matters and strategic execution
- Coordinate across the three lines of defence to ensure regulatory change, non-financial risk and control frameworks are embedded effectively
- Oversee issue and incident management, ensuring timely remediation and escalation where required
- Support internal and external audits, regulator interactions and responses to supervisory requests
- Drive preparation of governance materials, management packs, committee papers and senior-level presentations
- Represent the Singapore branch in regional initiatives, forums and cross-border projects
- Track actions, deliverables and commitments across stakeholders to ensure timely completion
- Support ad-hoc initiatives critical to the smooth running of the Singapore business
Requirements:
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience within wholesale / corporate banking or a similar financial institution
- Strong understanding of wholesale banking products
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across regions and head office
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, matrix environment
- Solid accounting and financial acumen
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, detail-oriented and proactive; project management experience is an advantage
