The Role:

My client is a leading dry bulk shipping operator serving a good global client base. You will be part of the legal team based in Singapore. This team provides legal support on a wide variety of regional contracts (transhipment and shipping related litigation. The team is required to provide on the spot legal advice across all desks (Chartering and operations) and handle legal disputes subjected to English law.


Requirements:

  • Top academic credentials (England & Wales trained and qualified solicitor) with at least 6-10 years of post qualification experience at a “top tier” law firm /multinational environment
  • Sound Shipping Litigation Knowledge with experience predominantly gained InHouse in dry bulk marine transportation
  • Team player with superior communication, interpersonal and language skills
  • Experience handling charter party disputes and other dry marine issues
  • Detail oriented, motivated individual with excellent analytical and project management skills
