The Role:

Our client is a renowned MNC and seeking a Legal Counsel to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive legal guidance and support for the operations in the Region. Your primary focus will revolve around business development, PPA, project development, the full spectrum of greenfield renewables projects including their construction and operation, and collaborating on JVs and partnerships. In addition, you will actively participate in M&A transactions, engage in diverse financing activities, and ensure vigilant oversight and management of the existing assets in the Region.

Requirements
  • At least 6 PQE with experience of the jurisdictions of the Region and in the energy sector (with, ideally, part of this experience in a law firm).
  • Qualified in Singapore or other common law jurisdictions
  • Experience required in PPA, Front end drafting, project development and financing, renewables projects, JVs, M&A.
  • Be able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
  • Proficiency in another foreign language will be an advantage
