The Company:
A highly reputable tech company is looking to hire additional legal professionals. They are currently seeking multiple experienced data specialists to join their global data protection team that consists of 20+ members. The company has strategically invested in AI and gaming businesses in the past few years, and is also focused on providing services such as cloud computing, advertising, FinTech, and other enterprise solutions to support digital transformation and business growth.
 
Responsibilities:

In your new role, you will
  • Maintain privacy and regulatory compliance by developing policies and procedures and enforcing requirements in line with international data privacy and personal information collection standards such as PDPO/ PDPA/PIPL and GDPR etc.
  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of data protection matters in relation to the company’s products and services
  • Draft, review and negotiate legal and commercial documentation
  • Analyze global privacy legal requirements and keep stakeholders informed of new privacy laws and regulations affecting the company businesses
  • Manage external counsels/ professionals in conducting privacy risk assessments

Requirements:
  • Qualified lawyer with 4-7 PQE, or LLB/LLM degree holder with relevant certifications e.g. CIPP, CIPM
  • Well-versed in privacy issues with experience in international law firms and/or in-house businesses
  • Tech savvy with proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Fluent in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) for internal & external communications and engagement
