This company is regarded as one of the industry leaders of innovation and digital adoption within financial services.

This role sits within their regional delivery team which utilizes best practice design techniques offering a variety of modern business applications. You’ll work side-by-side with different business teams to translate their requirements into deliverables.

Under the guidance of the Head of Delivery, you will build and manage the SRE team to handle mission critical systems. A large part of this role is stakeholder management and being able to grow a team.


Job Specs:

  • Lead and establish a SRE function
  • Improve observability practices towards platform performance and health
  • Lead incident management processes to improve detection, response, resolution and root cause analysis of all incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and management of applications, particularly with the development and DevOps teams

 
Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a SRE
  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering or relevant
  • Experience handling mission critical systems
  • Experience working within an AGILE environment
  • Strong English communications and ability to work with senior stakeholders for internal & external communications and engagement
  • Familiar with cloud technology – AWS, Azure
  • Familiar with configuration management tools (flexible) – Ansible, Terraform
  • Familiar with various programming languages (flexible on stack) – Java, Python, Node
  • InsurTech or FinTech background is an advantage
