Job Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Supports in the development and production of management reporting related to among others but not limited to:
  • P&L, B/S and Cashflow, Margin per product, Liquidity, ROI, Stock levels & valuations, Logistical performance, Regional and Global KPI’s (including development of)
  • Supporting (and assisting where necessary) the bookkeepers / financial accountants in the:
  • Administration of accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Review the preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Review the preparation of account reconciliations
  • Prepare and lodge VAT/GST & WHT submissions in various jurisdictions with the support of tax agents

  • The EU (Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany)
  • Prepare (and review) of journal entries, general ledger, cash flow overviews, margins and other profitability measurements. Should have skills to zoom out (helicopter view) and go into the details when required.
  • Maintains relations with (external) parties like management, accountants, banks, governmental organizations and Interfood Holding. Supports with fiscal and legal compliance by for example monitoring recurring audits by external auditors
  • Applies data analytics skills to prepare and develop ad-hoc reports for finance and commercial trading teams
  • Periodic activities:
  • Support the monthly financial statement close process including margin analysis
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet and P&L accounts including posting of journal entries & accruals (including issuance of monthly credit/debit notes)
  • Preparation of monthly financial and management reporting
  • Assist to prepare documents to the auditors for year-end audit
  • Continuously drives improvements allowing the (Finance) organization to keep up with the fast changing and dynamic environment Interfood operates in (especially in Asia Pacific). Ensures that the regional Finance function is able to support the growth of Interfood in Asia Pacific.
  • Demonstrates ability to operate in a fast-changing environment including the implementation of a new ERP system.
  • Reports directly to the Finance Manager on a daily basis and in absence to the Head of Finance/ Managing Director Asia Pacific.
  • Supports adhoc tasks particularly in the AR/AP functions
Job Requirments:
  • Local Diploma or equivalent
  • Qualified accountant with post graduate accreditation that is recognized globally
  • 3-5+ years of progressive Finance and Management roles
  • Strong Technical Accounting Knowledge (e.g. GAAP, area tax regulations, tax, import levy). Ongoing awareness of changes external to the department and translates these into related changes, processes and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both English and Chinese.
  • Team player, outspoken with strong work ethic and commitment
  • Preferably experience with trading soft-commodities physical and derivatives (e.g. futures and options), foreign exchange risk management (both deliverable and non-deliverable currencies) and their specific risk behaviors (e.g. margin call risk).
  • Understands the basis risk(s) between physical and derivative transactions and knows how to identify, quantify and mitigate these risks.
  • Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills in order to combine financial constructs with business knowledge Ability and willingness to come up with and drive improvements and controls in conjunction with other finance colleagues around the globe (Americas, Poland & The Netherlands)
  • Experience with global IT implementation projects
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s Occupational Health, Safety & Welfare Policy and Procedures
