We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager with FP&A and finance controllership background to join a global investment management firm.

The client is a global investment management firm with a global presence across 10 cities and an AUM of USD 50 billion.

This is a newly created role as part of a newly created team in Singapore. You will oversee 2 functions – FP&A and Compensation Reporting.


Key responsibilities include:

FP&A

  • Play a leadership role overseeing the FP&A function and regional annual budget and forecasting processes.
  • Review the preparation of monthly financial dashboards for senior management reflecting actual results, and comparisons to forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop financial analysis and perform analysis of current and past trends in key performance indicators such as revenue and expenses to improve design and accuracy of financial forecasts.
  • Take on a lead role in business projects and work closely together with other teams in Finance, Risk, Corporate Strategy and HR.
  • Any other adhoc duties.

Compensation Reporting & Analysis

  • Acting as a Finance Business Partner to the Portfolio Managers and is responsible for all aspects of Portfolio Manager Lifecycle -reviewing of contracts to structuring of agreements, to onboarding and compensation calculations while considering GAAP implications of compensation structures.
  • Oversee month-end closing, reporting, and compensation-related processes.
  • Work closely with other teams – Portfolio Managers, Business Heads, HR, Legal, Middle Office etc.
  • Adhoc projects


Successful candidate’s background:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance with professional certifications such as CA/CPA is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in FP&A and finance controllership experience within the financial services industry.
  • Excellent communication and written skills as required to work closely with the front office team and various business stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation skills as required to present information to portfolio managers and senior management with the ability to manage tough conversations as required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
