We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a market leading renewable energy organisation based in the CBD. With a multi-billion dollar project pipeline across the full energy life cycle they are at the centre of Australia's transition towards net zero. In this role you will support project evaluation, due diligence, tender development and the creation of business cases central to investment decisions. 


The ideal candidate will have a background in one or more of the following; energy consulting, infrastructure investment/advisory or project finance and experience in the energy sector along with a passionate for participating at the forefront of the global energy transition.



Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project models with current and updated assumptions.
  • Model economics of project documents, including land leases, interconnection agreements, power purchase agreements, O&M agreements, EPC, off-take agreements etc.
  • Perform sensitivity analysis on commercial assumptions
  • Provide narrative analysis on financial models 
  • Compile and maintain support files to justify assumptions.
  • Support various aspects of a project development and financing such as due diligence and commercial negotiations. 
  • Interface with stakeholders across the organisation to capture information relevant to existing projects, opportunities, and new projects under development.


Job Requirements

  • Degree in finance, economics, energy/environmental policy, engineering or other quantitative and related discipline. Graduate degree or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in project development/consulting/commercial management is required (preferably in energy or infrastructure) 
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel or other analytical tools
