A market leading utilities group in the Asia Pacific that provides sustainable energy solutions for customers in Singapore and the region have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Director – Director (Procurement).
 
Working in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, the Deputy Director – Director (Procurement) will be responsible for developing category plans to address the specific business objectives and category objectives pertaining to components, instruments equipment, transformers, and cables for utilities. You will maintain relationships with strategic suppliers to identify areas of improvement and to drive innovative solutions and ways of working with the company. With ongoing innovations within the utilities industry, the right person will align on business requirements and identify cost saving opportunities for group procurement.
 
The successful candidate will be a proven procurement leader with a background from the utilities or Oil & Gas industries with excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to form strategic partnerships to deliver procurement targets and goals at a group level. Strong negotiation, leadership and communication skills are essential to this role and a candidate with SAP system knowledge will be preferred.
