Responsibilities would include:

  • Lead all environmental & social matters for products, clients, and partnerships to ensure these are implemented in compliance with the bank's environmental and social standards
  • Conduct environmental and social due diligence
  • Define the bank's requirements to clients, partners, external counsel and supporting business teams
  • Promote ESRM activities and the bank's position statements internally and externally through various means including panel discussions, blogs, articles, etc.
  • Actively liaise with front-line and product teams to educate on and manage existing and emerging E&S risks


Profile of Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in consumer banking, 2 years in E&S risk or reputational and sustainability risk
  • In depth knowledge and experience across multiple sustainability initiatives and regulations
  • Knowledge of environmental and socials risks across consumer and business banking products and services.
  • Role specific technical competencies: ESG / climate risk, stakeholder management, banking / financial services experience, environmental and social risk, regulatory matters, reporting / corporate planning, strategy
