  • Permanent headcount, based in Hong Kong 
  • Leading global buyside firm
  • Candidates must have both investment banking and private equity/ buyside background and cross-border deal experience, ideally in the US, UK, and Asia
 
Responsibilities would include:
  • Identify and assess investment opportunities in key markets and sectors of interest through in-depth research and industry networ
  • Build and review detailed financial models, valuations, and scenario analyses. Lead comprehensive due diligence processes to evaluate financial, operational, and strategic fit and provide strategic insights to senior management
  • Manage end-to-end deal processes, including negotiations, legal documentation, and coordination with internal team
  • Oversee portfolio performance and partner with management teams to enhance value and drive growth strategies
  • Monitor industry trends to formulate investment strategies and identify new opportunities
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, ensuring effective collaboration and development
  • Support fundraising by preparing presentations, updating investors on portfolio progress, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
 
Profile of ideal candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience, with investment banking and private equity background
  • Proven ability to source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities
  • Sector coverage: General PE, less industrials and energy 
  • Cross-border deal experience, ideally involving transactions in the US, UK, and Asia
  • Strategic mindset to identify value creation opportunities and develop growth plans for portfolio companies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities for conducting due diligence, market analysis, and valuation of potential investments
  • Open to qualified foreign candidates with strong cross-border deal expertise
