Overview

Our client is a leading consultancy looking to hire an experienced Technical Business Analyst with previous exposure to remediation on large and complex programs within Financial Services.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Articulate requirements and communicate business and customer value to the project delivery / scrum team.
  • Contribute to the conversion of business and customer needs into functional designs.
  • Define problems and opportunities. Perform data analysis that can be used to support or challenge business initiatives.
  • Support the project delivery / scrum team to break down work and translate requirements into functional specifications using appropriate method (e.g. backlog creation, user stories, as-built functional documentation etc.).
  • Contribute to assessment of dependencies and associated risk and compliance implications of requirements and solutions.
  • Support business verification testing activities.
  • Effectively communicating requirements to stakeholders, managing conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and project team members remain in agreement on solution scope.
  • Identify relevant stakeholders, select appropriate techniques and processes to derive and manage requirements.
  • Assess and document the current state of business functions and processes to identify and recommend improvements, including application of User and customer journeys.
  • Lead requirements elicitation, including workshops to capture requirements. Constructively challenge stated requirement.

Required Skills
  • Strong business process improvement / re-engineering, data analysis, system functional and non-functional analysis, and documentation experience
  • An understanding of technology and business systems strategically and operationally
  • Ability to conduct and effectively facilitate workshops.
  • Demonstrated experience in analysing, interpreting, and mapping large data sets.
  • Experience in data quality analysis and remediation within in a large and complex organisation.
  • Knowledge of SQL – the ability to read, understand and write SQL code
  • Strong analytical ability with an attention to details - ability to digest information and make logical inferences
  • Atlassian toolset experience: JIRA, Confluence, X-Ray
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working with Agile methodology.
  • Previous Regulatory experience will be highly regarded
