Responsibilities would include: 

  • Work closely with development and property management teams to carry out evaluation of environmental performance (energy, carbon, water and waste) of global asset portfolio
  • Develop strategy and targets to enhance building environmental performance for business units
  • Identify energy efficiency opportunities and solutions for operating assets and new developments
  • Establish low-carbon transition plan and decarbonization pathway for asset portfolio
  • Provide internal stakeholders with climate change and carbon advice, aligning to international best practice
  • Develop and monitor green building certification programme and renewable energy strategy
  • Perform gap analysis and advise business units on strategy and action plan to improve GRESB score
  • Support the preparation of annual Sustainability Report and GRESB benchmarking submission
 

Profile of ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in M&E Engineering, building services, environmental sustainability or relevant studies
  • Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in a real estate business setting with focus on sustainability, energy efficiency and carbon accounting
  • Strong knowledge in technical building environmental assessment and renewable energy implementation
  • Ability to carry out energy audit Level 1 and provide oversight on Level 2 energy audit
  • Certified Energy Manager, Green Mark Accredited Professionals or equivalent certifications would be favourable
  • Understand building life-cycle assessment, GHG protocol and carbon footprinting
  • Experience in sustainability assessments such as GRESB, CDP, GRESB and SBTi would be desirable
  • Track record in project management of sustainability-related initiatives
