The Company: -

Leading Insurance Firm, strong global presence, is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager for the Business Partnering, Planning & Analysis (BP&A) team based in Thailand. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative team whilst increasing post tax net income.

Responsibilities: -

  • Business as usual (BAU) inclusive of annual financial planning process recurring monthly / quarterly with management reporting.
  • Reporting is focused on sales APE, NBP margins, by product / channel splits, variance vs last year actual vs plan / trends.
  • Analysis with insights / commentary towards key stakeholders / audience. Internal and External stakeholders are within the Thailand Leadership team (CEO/CFO, Executive Committee Members); Group / Regional team stakeholders
  • Closely partner with CFO direct teams (actuarial, financial controllership, investment/capital) and collaborate with key teams including sales distribution channels, strategy, product, pricing, etc).
  • Business Partnering with key cross functional teams; half are sales channels banks, agency, digital, Group Employee Benefits; half are non-sales/support and enabling functions (customer team, IT team, transformation team, strategy, product, pricing, health & wellness, plus other support functions where applicable).
  • New/Ad hoc which includes initiatives evaluation, assessment of pros/cons, benefits vs. costs to support decision making for project approval.
  • Expansion of new channels (e.g. digital partnerships / buildout of new platforms)
  • Include as applicable new assessments on new partnerships / M&A opportunities, re-evaluation of existing/in-flight projects, variance vs. previous assumptions, updated per latest changes etc.

Requirements: -
  • Life insurance experience, ideally have work experience in Thailand life insurance market.
  • Preferred actuarial/financial/accounting background.
  • Management reporting experience (including recurring monthly/quarterly reporting updates, focused primarily on APE/sales/by product/channel profit margins); dashboards and key KPIs, etc.
  • Commercial/business experience (not just technical background).
  • Strong communication skills, both written, and verbal (familiar with presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders).
  • Agile/growth mindset.
  • Flexibility/problem solving approach.
  • Detail oriented, hands on, can work independently and take lead towards completion, including proactively incorporating feedback from key stakeholders.
  • Continuous process improvement/automation & streamlining, promote data visualization.
