Our client is a leading global financial services group and award winning employer of choice. They have superb company culture and offer great work life balance and flexibility including hybrid working arrangement (2 days in office, 3 days wfh).

Due to an internal promotion they have a great opportunity for a technically strong finance manager/group finance manager to lead their medium sized financial control and reporting fucntion (6 staff).  Reporting into the Group Financial Controller the purpose of your role will be to ensure robust financial control is applied across the group through provision of strong accounting and compliance oversight.

Key deliverables will include: 
  • Management of the Divisional Financial Control team
  • Lead the month end close process, including review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting
  • Responsibility for the monthly revenue recognition process, including reconciliation of data between systems and coordination of related disclosures to the Head Office Corporate team
  • Preparation and review of annual Statutory Financial Statements (including consolidated set), along with consideration of current accounting standard requirements
  • Lead the annual Statutory audit and financial reporting process, including technical accounting reviews (forming and documenting accounting positions), acquisition accounting and integration activities
  • Lead regular Internal Audit, SOX compliance and Annual Control Review process
  • Divisional lead on Head Office Corporate Accounting project work as required
  • Regular approvals required related to banking, AP and capex additions
Required Skills and Experience:

  • Similar experience managing a financial accounting function within a large Corporate
  • Technical and proficiency in Systems, software, databases, reporting and communication tools specifically Excel skills – confident with Pivot tables, data analysis and reporting using large data sets and full GL Extracts
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting and CA/CPA Qualifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interpret and analyse complex data, connect and influence key stakeholders fostering team commitment
