The Company: -
This is a leading international law firm. You will be supporting the finance department with direct lines to the CFO and Senior Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment, acting as a key business partner.


Responsibilities: -

  • Responsible for all aspects of month / year end closing
  • Oversee the accounting transactions are accurate
  • Preparing various financial reports on a timely basis in compliance with local statutory requirements
  • Preparing partners’ statistics for management meeting
  • Preparing monthly management reports on a timely basis and in accordance with timetable given by London
  • Preparing variance analysis for review by management
  • Reviewing clients’ and office accounts’ payment
  • Preparing schedules as required by auditors and tax agents
  • Preparing adhoc financial reports upon request
  • Planning and budgeting assist on the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
  • Reviewing payments to third parties
  • Ensuring that intercompany settlements are made
  • Preparing cash flow forecast and ensuring that all office bank accounts are in credit on a daily basis, completing any necessary transfers between office bank accounts or liaising with London
  • Prepare various reconciliation (balance sheet, cash advance, credit card and etc.)
  • Reviewing bank reconciliation
  • Work on payroll and partner distribution matters
  • Ensuring that partner tax reserves are set a side
  • Review procedures and processes to improve efficiency of the department
  • Improving and automating processes within the team
  • Developing team members
  • Manage key relationship with banks, auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial and other relevant external providers
  • Providing supervision, cover and assistance to team members in all areas of accounting duties including billing, credit control and reporting
  • Working in conjunction with the Regional Finance Lead to instil the best practice financial management
  • Handling various ad hoc queries and projects


Requirements: -

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
  • Qualified Accountant Preferred
  • Possess strong people management and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a polite and professional approach
  • Excellent organisational and prioritization skills, with the ability to multi-task in order to meet deadlines·      
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Committed to quality and accuracy
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
  • Willing to learn and able to work under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in Accounting system is a plus
