Responsibilities:

Build a business around MRV systems and processes for carbon offset projects and nature based solutions, including data collection, analysis, and reporting
Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, communities, and the private sector, to promote the use of MRV in carbon markets
Work with project developers to implement carbon offset projects that utilize nature-based and MRV solutions
Provide technical expertise to clients in the development and implementation of MRV systems for carbon projects
Develop and implement programmatic carbon credits and standards for MRV in carbon markets
Stay up to date with the latest developments in MRV and carbon markets and participate in relevant networks and initiatives
Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal systems and processes related to MRV in carbon projects
Build and maintain relationships with clients to expand the company's MRV business in carbon markets

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Economics, Forestry, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in carbon markets, with a focus on nature-based solutions
Strong understanding of carbon project development and implementation, including project design, monitoring and reporting, and stakeholder engagement
Knowledge of carbon offset standards, such as the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) or the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standards (CCBS)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Entrepreneurial mindset and experience in business development
