This position involves the responsibility of establishing project partnerships with government agencies and driving business growth for the company in China. The ideal candidate must possess prior experience in successful project collaboration with organizations like the Health Commission, The Chinese Medical Association, other medical-related industry associations, The Chinese Academy of Sciences, along with others, etc.
 
 
Job Description Summary:
 
Responsible for monitoring, critical legislation, regulations or administrative procedures and assisting in directing product and content strategy to ensure compliance, relevance, and currency. Also responsible for developing and maintaining contact with appropriate officials in order to gather strategic information on legislative issues that affect the company. 
 

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop, drive, and refine the Medical Education, Healthcare strategy, programs, and tactics to ensure our company is viewed as an innovative and trusted partner by core universities and scholars. 
  • Partner with Medical Council of China, UG, PG Colleges, ad academic associations to further long-term innovation goals, investment in digital solutions, and advocacy for investment in scientific research and content. 
  • Proactively tracking the Medical Education Policy, Healthcare related govt. policy. Identify opportunities to pursue favorable Chinese government policies and effectively shape policy issues on behalf of the client. 
  • Help identify business opportunities and potential spend areas of government which will benefit China business groups. 
  • To anticipate and highlight the impending developments in the Government that may impact WK. Effectively address issues, formulate strategies & consult with appropriate business and corporate personnel in providing recommendations for the formation of action plans 
  • Support China Country Revenue by driving partnerships with pioneer medical education colleges, healthcare enterprises. 
  • Continuous, proactive, and strategic engagement on policy issues with central and state Governments in China with the aim of favorable regulatory environment for SAP. 
  • Participate in preparation of policy papers, response to policy statements, point of views on key policies including Scientific Research, Education Content, Medical Education Curriculum, etc. 
  • Work with Publishing & Content, Product Teams to proactively plan for compliance to regulatory requirements. 
  • Support the information requirements of regional and global teams on policy and regulatory developments in China. 
  • Create knowledge content on policies based on global experiences and lead thought leadership engagements with stakeholders based on the same 
  • Internal enablement of business teams on policy developments. 
 

Skills Required:

 
  • You are someone who has relevant work experience in identifying key public policy issues across sectors, including senior policy-making role with experience in hands-on policy design and the process of getting policies approved and implemented through complex executive and legislative processes and political systems; 
  • You have experience engaging directly with senior government officials at the ministerial level and preferably experience in cross-industry policy and governance areas; 
  • You have the ability to grasp others' views and opinions, and distill and share the company's perspective on those issues with external stakeholders 
  • You are someone who is invested in life-long learning, flexible and highly adaptive, keeping these abilities in mind you are able to empower the team you work with; 
  • You are someone with critical thinking skills combined with creativity and intellectual rigor to manage, oversee and most importantly steer various discussions with external stakeholders; government, academics, institutions.
