The Company:

As an integral part of a larger multinational conglomerate, the company has continued to grow and develop into a leading data and technology services provider in the last few decades. With headquarters in Asia, they have expanded their network to connect over 160 countries and regions worldwide through strategic partnerships and acquisitions. They are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join the management team as the head of Legal Department in Hong Kong.
 
In your new role, you will
 
  • Spearhead the regional legal and compliance team across Asia and Europe in providing legal and strategic advice to varios business units, branch offices and relevant stakeholders on the Company’s business initiatives and development of governance framework
  • Comment on legal documents and a broad range of commercial contracts, including partnership and licensing agreements that involve multiple jurisdictions
  • Partner with and instruct external counsels and data protection offers in keeping the business abreast of any changes in applicable laws and regulations, and supporting data compliance review
  • Review the Company’s policy and provide internal training from time to time

 
Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 10 years of PQE in a common law jurisdiction
  • Knowledge and in-house experience within the TMT field across multiple regions
  • General corporate compliance experience is preferred but not essential
  • Strong leadership skills and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese for internal & external communications and engagement
