An outstanding Finance Business Analyst / Finance Change Analyst (12 month fixed term contract) opportunity, working for a leading international financial services group based in Sydney Lower North Shore.  This position is focused on changes in processes, systems and technology that support company goals and objectives. The role will also contribute to and facilitate the delivery of target operating model (including due diligence, sophisticated financial modelling, strategic planning & analysis, and operational business partnering), governance of key finance systems and platforms, as well as to own and deliver on projects / initiatives. In addition, you will be expected to work closely with business stakeholders on a regular basis, able to adapt to various situations, utilise initiative and have a drive for continuous improvement.

Key accountabilities are split into three core areas of delivery:

Systems Governance/Framework
  • Engage with 3rd party vendors that support Financial Reporting & Operations systems and platforms;  
  • Facilitate and contribute to the requirements, design and configuration of relevant systems and platforms to implement regulatory enhancements and business-initiated improvements;
  • Provide governance and support for master data, system and data integrity across systems;

Project Delivery & Support
  • Drive and provide support on the delivery of Corporate Services related projects by having dual responsibility of a business analyst and project manager;

Business Optimization & Transformation
  • Drive continuous improvement to improve business efficiency, speed, and quality by being involved in process improvement projects, reviewing existing processes and proactively identifying kaizen opportunities;
  • Provide advice around system change proposals and kaizen initiatives, and make value enhancing recommendations to promote change, quality, and innovation
  • Identify and investigate new systems and technology opportunities to optimize efficiency gains

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience and key attributes:
  • CA/CPA (or equivalent) qualified.
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in one or more of the following areas: systems implementation, (finance) business analysis, finance project delivery, finance change.
  • Open to relevant experience gained either in the Financial Services industry or a large corporate/commercial environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable with strong commercial/business acumen with experience in driving change.
  • Ability to communicate and interact at all levels.
