Our client is a leading global financial services group with a strong Australia & New Zealand presence. They have a collaborative and supportive culture within their finance division and offer exceptional career progression.

They have a newly created role within their Strategic Expenses team for an FP&A Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Group Expenses, this will be a highly analytical role with excellent visibility across a range of influential stakeholders. Key deliverables will include:

  • Responsible for reporting and analysis of group expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Preparation of various outputs to stakeholders, including flash reports and other adhoc reporting
  • Expense and FTE management and reporting, including monthly reconciliations and controls
  • Analysis and interpretation of data from various data systems and accountable for monthly expense reporting
  • Support strategic planning and tracking of various initiatives to achieve plan targets.
  • Assist in projections, scenario analysis and preparation of articulate papers for Steering Exec Committees and provision of cost optimization strategies for the business
  • Assist in finance transformation and help implement more efficient expense reporting for the business.
  • Support business heads with their financial data requirements with articulate and appropriate basic visuals to ensure that complex issues are explained in simple terms
  • Ad-Hoc projects as directed by Senior Manager and the Head of Strategic Planning

This is a permanent role in a high performing team.

Required skills and experience:

  • Degree qualified, in Accounting and Finance, with CA/CPA qualification
  • 2–4 years of post qualified experience in financial planning and analysis or management accounting roles (expense focused or full P&L focused)
  • Experience in large complex listed or blue chip environments (financial services or commerce and industry)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Strong excel and financial systems skills
