Responsibilities would include:
  • Cover China market (hence business/ native Chinese language required)
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of potential investments primarily within Asia ex-Japan
  • Present company and industry analyses to the team, and clearly articulate and debate the key drivers of the business and valuation
  • Monitor existing portfolio positions and generate investment ideas
  • Responsible for carrying out timely inputs in thematic strategies and consider stock pickings
  • Open to both geography and sector-based coverage models (no specific sector focus)

Profile of ideal candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an equity/research related role ideally at an investment management organization or investment bank
  • No specific sector experience is needed/ open to all generalists.
  • Familiarity with computer databases, such as Bloomberg and spreadsheets
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Capacity for differentiated thinking and ability to problem solve effectively
  • Ability to set priorities and execute a research agenda
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based, and results-oriented environment
  • Excellent written, oral and communication skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken Chinese is mandatory for conducting in-depth country research and presenting the analyses
