The Role: 
My Client is a renowned US Pharmaceutical MNC, and a global leader in biotech, immunotherapy business. They are looking to hire a Legal Director, based in Singapore. You will be working on a broad range of interesting legal and compliance issues. They are expanding product offering in cell therapy in new markets internationally The newly created role will support legal and business conduct compliance for the development and commercialization of the firm’s cell therapy business.
 
You must:
  • Have a JD or LLB (Honours) degree from a well-known university
  • Be called to the Singapore Bar or Common Law Qualified with at least 8-10 years PQE inhouse or law firm, with prior law firm experiences in or relating to biotech or pharmaceutical industries, including business operations related to Cell therapy and regulatory framework.
  • Detailed knowledge of the FCPA and other relevant anti-bribery laws, guidance on patient-focused drug development activities, patient support service and other government regulation of pharmaceutical products
  • Prior experience with or exposure to standard regulatory processes for pharmaceutical products and laws, and regulations governing clinical trials preferred. Prior experience with biotech/cell business (including product launch) strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of business agreements (master service agreements, materials transfer agreements, license agreements, manufacturing and supply agreements, purchase agreements, pharma manufacturing facilities contracts, confidentiality agreements, clinical trial agreements, and other general business contracts) preferred.
  • Be able to work independently, while providing expense healthcare compliance and legal advice across the business relating to the manufacture, sales, and promotion and advertising of therapy products 
  • Ability to work well in team settings and to build relationships throughout all levels of the organisation
