The Role:
My Client is a global financial institution seeking to hire an experience Risk (operational) professional to lead the implementation of Operational and Technology Risk Framework and Enterprise Risk Management Framework. The role supports Legal Client Segments and the Regional and Country Legal Heads in Asia to effectively manage risks where Legal is the Process Owner, and Heads of Legal where Legal is Risk Owner for other businesses and functions. This will be an excellent role for Knowledge Management, Data Policy lawyers in practice looking to transit to a bank in an Ops Risk, Group Policy role.
 

You will have:
  • 8+ years of work experience in banking or legal (project management experience a plus); Legal qualification, degree or experience is beneficial.
  • Extensive risk management knowledge / experience e.g experience in operational risk, compliance, or comparable roles at a country, regional, business, or functional level
  • Support the Legal function in the implementation of Operational Risk policies and procedures and other relevant policies and procedures such as Compliance (including Data Management) and Cyber Security policies
  • Lead contact point and provide support to Legal Risk Owners keeping a holistic overview and providing support to team members where required, including for non-legal risks.
  • Facilitate and lead (where required) implementation of various Group or Legal COO projects on an ad-hoc basis such as the Data Privacy Transformation Programme
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
