The Role:

We are partnering with an International Law Firm to hire an M&A lawyer to join their leading Corporate practice based in Jakarta as International Counsel. This is a strategic hire supporting their growing Corporate M&A team on high-profile, cross-border transactions across South East Asia and the UK in sectors including financial services and projects/energy.

You will play a key role in complex corporate transactions, from drafting and negotiating agreements to managing due diligence and coordinating with international teams. You will also help strengthen client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives, strengthening the team bench.

Requirements:
  • Admission to practice law (NY or Common Law), training with International law firms
  • Min 4+ years of experience in corporate/M&A transactions, including cross-border deals.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in client-facing roles and business development, with a proactive approach to providing practical, business-oriented legal advice.
