Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the senior management & C-level team in Malaysia and Singapore, highly visible role and contributing to high-priority group initiatives and projects
  • Support in the evaluation and execution of new business ventures, mergers & acquisitions and greenfield projects
  • Provide quantitative and qualitative evaluation of potential investment opportunities and feasibility studies in Malaysia and in the region
  • Drive and/or support in the entire deal cycle from start to finish, i.e deal sourcing, proposal preparation, structuring, financial analysis, financial modelling, due diligence, valuations, board approvals, closing documentation, and settlement for M&A projects
  • Lead evaluation of organic and inorganic growth of the Group by developing proposals, presentation materials, market research, data analysis
  • Review the findings from due diligence and address the risks accordingly
  • Lead/ Assist in negotiation of commercial and legal terms with transaction counterparty
  • Work with various cross functional teams and manage internal stakeholders
 
 
Profile of Ideal Candidate: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance / advisory firms / private equity/ Investment Banking
  • Good financial acumen, good understanding of financial statements, accounting, can do financial modelling and fundamental analysis
  • Able to lead teams, independent enough to run and lead deals on their own
  • A team player that is self-driven, self-starter, responsive, positive attitude, resourceful
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments concurrently while prioritizing the duties assigned
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to engage stakeholders across all levels
  • Ideally someone who have completed numerous M&A or JV transactions from start to finish
  • Someone who genuinely wants to grow and create impact with the firm
