Currently looking for a SEA Sales Director for a Diagnostics business to be based out of Singapore.

This business has had a presence in SEA via distributors for a few years and whilst they have been doing great elsewhere (20% growth) things here have been disappointing. They need somebody who can change that, whether that means working with what they have or tearing it up and starting again.

It's a highly independent role (but still with support from the CCO) for which you will take charge and with success will come the opportunity to grow the APAC team.

The SEA Sales Director will be responsible for:

  • Lead and expand distribution and indirect channel sales in the identified Asia Pacific (SEA) region, focusing on new business generation and upselling to existing partners.
  • Oversee distributor management, including sales performance and business aspects, while identifying opportunities to enhance market presence and sales through large commercial channel customers.
  • Represent the company at conferences, maintain a strong understanding of the clinical and life science space, and effectively communicate and negotiate key financial terms.

The SEA Sales Director will be/have:

  • Strong knowledge of the clinical and life science industry, particularly in oncology, diagnostic testing, and drug development, with the ability to navigate the sales cycle specific to these fields.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic technologies and platforms such as immunohistochemistry and FISH, along with the ability to communicate and negotiate financial terms tied to service contracts.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, expertise in Microsoft Suite, and the ability to present to large groups, while being comfortable with travel planning, communication management, and prioritizing pipeline opportunities.
