About the role:

Our client is an international bank (foreign ADI). An exciting opportunity has become available to join their Risk Management team as an extra resource to assist with their BAU and project initiatives, with a focus on controls testing activities.
This is initially a 6-month fixed term contract role for CPS234 regulatory uplift, with a view for extension or permanency.  

Key responsibilities:
  • Independently undertake risk assurance and audit related work and complete regular reporting tasks in accordance with HO requirements.
  • Report to Management on identified operational risk control deficiencies, recommend improvements and remedial actions.
  • Ongoing monitoring of assurance findings and verification of remediation effectiveness.
  • Develop a Risk & Internal Audit Program for the branch in line with Head Office’s expectation, specifically to carry out monthly/quarterly internal control and assurance check across all departments.
  • Assist with risk and audit policy and framework maintenance.
  • Collaborate with external auditors on regulatory independent reviews.
  • Provide support to regulatory project works (ie. CPS234 remediation).

Skills and experiences:
  • 3+ years in Risk Assurance or Internal Audit, with hands-on experience in testing manual controls in a Financial Institution.
  • Existing experience / knowledge of CPS234 standards is highly desirable.
  • Self-starter who is willing to get their hands dirty and eager to learn.
  • Team player, with strong communication skills.
  • Mandarin speaking and writing skills.
