We are currently looking for an R&D Team Lead for a global ingredients business for the Biopharma industry. This will involve you taking over and growing an already existing team here in Singapore whilst also being part of a wider global R&D organization. This role combines a mix of the autonomy you would expect at a smaller company but with the financial muscle of a large business.
This role is slightly different from a standard R&D Team Lead role however as you will work not only on internal product development projects but will also be supporting customers in the development of their projects too.
The R&D Team Lead will be responsible for:
Oversee project management, resource allocation, mentorship, and safety compliance to support the cell culture team’s growth and productivity.
Drive R&D strategy, coordinate innovation projects, and work cross-functionally to align with business objectives and launch new products.
Engage with customers, senior management, and global teams, providing scientific insights and supporting marketing efforts through publications and application data.
The R&D Team Lead will be / have:
Proficient in mammalian cell culture, especially CHO cell culture for therapeutic protein production, with strong analytical skills.
Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring, and managing projects to meet business objectives.
Degree qualified: PhD or Master’s in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biology or related Life Science fields preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making abilities, with experience prioritizing multiple tasks in a lab environment.
