This role is accountable for the end to end delivery of multiple Data Centre and networking projects in a complex, multi vendor government organisation. Projects can be new or in flight and focus on Data Centre consolidation, migration, replacement of end of life equipment and networking. Experience in Data Centre consolidation within government organisations, vendor management and the ability to manage technical and business stakeholders effectively at all levels is required to be successful.
Skills and Experience required:
Demonstrated experience in delivering complex Data Centre migration/consolidation projects in large scale, multi vendor, federated environments including government
Proven project management discipline including scoping, planning, managing financials, risks issues to implementation
Solid understanding of Data Centre technology and migration
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence up to executive level
Proven experience in managing technology vendors to delivery
Solid understanding of government procurement and commercial processes
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent, relevant professional experience
