About the Role
This is an individual contributor role. You will provide formulation strategies that improve the product profile for mRNA vaccines and therapeutics for the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle formulation optimization related innovations to enhance mRNA stability using automation, in vitro / in vivo, and biophysical characterization to guide outcomes
  • Develop and drive pharmaceutical lyophilization process from bench to pilot scale in a global environment
  • Lead the development of product knowledge and understanding to nominate and identify key quality attributes and process parameters
  • Partner with CRO vendors to evaluate in vivo studies, process related activities, and analytical assessment of materials

Requirements:
  • PhD or Master in related disciplines (Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, etc) with hands on exposure in formulation and lyophilization work mandatory (1+ year) involving nucleic acid vaccines, sub-unit protein vaccines, biologics
  • Liposomal vehicle experience advantageous: LNP / lipids on formulation at laboratory / wet bench environment
  • Experience in Lyo-cycle process development and buffer and excipient selection using relevant statistical optimization methods (e.g. DoE)
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques a plus (e.g. HPLC/UPLC, DLS, CD, zeta potential, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrophotometry, high-throughput sequences)
  • Awareness of regulatory guidelines to support the drafting of analytical strategies for RNA-focused discovery programs and early-development translation efforts
  • CRO Management in the lyophilization and formulation space
