Leading financial services group are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner or Manager with an expense, cost or project finance background to join and add extra firepower whilst they go through a major transformation and change program within group expenses function.

Reporting to the Head of Group Expenses you will focus on:

  • As a key contributor to the monitoring, control and reporting of group expenses, you will have the responsibility to deliver accurate reports to senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Financial and data analytics on project spend, run rate analysis, savings initiatives and forecast reporting.
  • Work with Executives, cost centre managers and senior finance personal in developing annual expense plans and quarterly expense forecasts to help meet overall business objectives, managing key messages and expectations
  • To work closely with share service cost centre managers on the tracking of and managing to expense plans.
  • Developing regular expense forecasts and to deliver a clear and concise message to both local and regional stakeholders.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in the development of detailed expense plans that are designed to help the respective business units achieve their overall financial objectives.
  • Project accountant for IT projects
Required skills and experience:
  • 10+ years of management accounting experience within large complex financial services environment
  • Superior communication and influencing skills along with strong financial analysis skills.
  • Experience in project reporting and benefit tracking preferred
  • Tertiary qualified in accounting, finance or related disciplined
  • Worked in an environment with competing priorities
  • Have demonstrated in past roles a strong level of attention to detail.
  • A commitment to strong and robust control processes, maintaining utmost integrity.
This is initially a 6 month contract but with view to extending and potentially going permanent for the right candidate
