Our client is a global insurance group who are growing rapidly in Australia, both organically and through acquisition.  They have a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture and excellent work life balance and culture within their finance team.

Due to this growth trajectory they have a newly created position for a management accountant or senior management accountant from an insurance background to join their high performing finance team.  Reporting into an impressive Senior FP&A Manager and also working closely with a very commercial CFO you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of regular management reporting for a variety of internal stakeholders;
  • Liaison with internal stakeholders on finance matters offering commercial insights and value adding advice
  • Preparation of budgets and undertaking budgetary control
  • Cashflow forecasting and management
  • Participating in delivering on short and long term strategies for achieving company growth, profitability and risk quality objectives
  • Involvement in finance projects 

This is a permanent role with a broad remit which will grow and evolve with the further growth of the company.

Required skills and experience:

  • CAP/CPA/CIMA qualified with Minimum of 2 years post qualified experience
  • General insurance background (highly advantageous)
  • Strong management accounting and FP&A skill set 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Strong financial systems skills
