Leading insurance group and employer of choice require a qualified financial accountant for a broad role in their financial reporting team.  Reporting into the financial reporting manager you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with local instructions.
  • Prepare account reconciliations.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts in accordance with local and Group requirements.
  • Perform Internal Controls over Financial Reporting in compliance with internal control guidelines.
  • Assist and support department´s initiatives.
  • Prepare and analyse indirect taxes including but not limited to stamp duty, GST and ESL.
  • Assist with month end, quarter end and Year end financial reporting requirements

This will initially be a 12 month contract with a strong chance of extending or going permanent.

Key skills and experience:

  • CA/CPA qualified with minimum of 4 years experience in financial accounting
  • Insurance experience (preferable), or financial services experience
  • Strong communication skills
